Hey Mortar here is another of your more obvious lies from another thread you have yet to answer. by Mortarman329 October 11, 2010 2:30 PM EDT (Constitutional) Rights are not enumerated. ... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What part of the first two clauses / phrases of the 9th Amendment of the US CONSTITUTION are you having difficulty underatanding? "The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, ..."

What part of the 9th Amendment dont YOU understand? You see...what I am referring to is the fact that the Constitution nowhere covers all of the rights we hold. Sure, it lists a couple...but as the 9th Amendment states...it just lists a couple. That there are many many more that are not listed. You see, the Constitution wasnt put there to list rights. It was enacted to list powers. It is the enabling document of the Federal government. The States have told what powers the Federal government are to do on their behalf. In closing, basically what I am saying is that the Bill of Rights was unneeded. Many of the FOunders said so. Why? Because they all understood that we didnt need a 9th Amendment, or a Tenth Amendment. That by definition, the people and the States still had all of their powers and rights, except those listed that they gave to the Federal government. 2nd Amendment rights? We have had those, even if we didnt have a 2nd Amendment. Why? Becaue nowhere in the Constitution does it give the Federal government to power to restrict Americans from owning the instruments of the soldier. And so on.
by variablespanner October 11, 2010 10:02 PM EDT
Actually in the second amendment it does give the government the right to restrict Americans from owning the instruments of the soldier. As the constitution fails to define a well regulated militia -- and congress for over two centuries provided said definition by statute clearly congress is empowered by altering the definition of a WELL REGULATED MILITIA to "restrict Americans from owning the instruments of the soldier." perhaps the should now as the definition of militia has a restrictive reference to WOMEN's rights to "possess the instruments of a soldier." as you call them. As you state elsewhere in the constitution congress is empowered to establish the military -- including the well regulated (legislation creates regulation) militia mentioned in the second amendment. your really need to read the constitution in it's entirety and understand how the section interact with each other.
by Mortarman329 October 11, 2010 10:14 PM EDT
Actually, the militia as defined by the Founders, was all adult males. And the 2nd Amendment has been upheld by the SCOTUS to be an individual right. I can post quote after quote showing the intent of the Founders in regards to the 2nd Amendment. Andf it will show that the main intent was to leave the individual American the power to stop his own government.

Pelosi's a fear-mongering loser. When you can't win a fair fight, go with fear-mongering. Like Hitler did with the Jews.

by Mortarman329 October 11, 2010 8:53 PM EDT Oh by the way, no one has a right to money for any medical procedure from the government, unless they are members of the U.S. military. All other Americans have no rigt to have healthcare paid for by som other person, who did not willingly give their money for that purpose. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- By law inmates in jail get free health care provided by those responsible for their incarceration. SO RAPISTS get free FOOD, Housing, Medical care and even earn money for luxury items in prison. While the TEA PARTY REPUBLICANS BELIEVE their rape victims are FORCED BY THE GOVERNMENT TO BEAR AND SUPPORT THEIR RAPIST'S BABY AND DIE IF THE ONLY LIFE-SAVING SOLUTION FOR THE VICTIM IS AN ABORTION. No assistance in raising the CHILD MANDATED BY LAW, no assistance for the VICTIM to recover from the trama of the assault by her attacker compounded by being FORCED TO CARRY, BEAR and SUPPORT her attackers child. Clearly the Tea Party Republcians believe the Rapists are more worthy of support from taxpayers than their victims. As Sharron Angle says rape victims are on their own to figure out "how to make lemonade out of the lemons" life has thrust upon them.

Again, you are wrong. First off, someone being incarcerated is entitled to be fed and taken care of. Second, most rapists are tried under state law and serve time in STATE prisons. Thus, the states are obligated to pay for it. We do so because we want rapists off the street. Personally, I would jsut be for one bullet to the head...that would save us a bunch of money! But, again, we are talking about the Federal government. And the Federal government is not authorized by the States thru the Constitution to spend one penny on healthcare. Now, soldiers are authorized healthcare, because the Constitution does authorize the Federal government ot make laws pertaining having a military. Thus, the Federal government can enact medical coverage for its employees. But, where the Federal government has NO ROLE constitutionally that in regards to "acts of benevolence." It has no role. Even our Founders, who wrote the Constitution, said this. The Federal government can ONLY do the powers enumerated (listed) by the States thru the Constitution. Do we want the Federal government to be involved in healthcare? Then have the States give it that power. Until then, obey the law.

American parents can put their 18-26 year old kids on their health care coverage because of Nancy Pelosi. The Republicans are scandalizing her because of it. Republican family-values and American family-values are two extremely different things.

18-26 is a kid? I thought they were adults.
by variablespanner October 11, 2010 9:06 PM EDT
Actually that is one of the provisions of Health Care Reform TEA PARTY REPUBLICANS plan to keep according to their announced plans mortar.
by Mortarman329 October 11, 2010 9:21 PM EDT
I dont care. An 18 year old is an adult.
by variablespanner October 11, 2010 9:47 PM EDT
Poor Mortar -- No body running for office reflects his views -- even the Tea Party Republcians appears to be TOO LIBERAL FROM HIM with the Marxist/Socialist views on health care covering 18 - 26 year olds.
by Mortarman329 October 11, 2010 10:07 PM EDT
So, you are saying 18 year olds arent adults?

by Mortarman329 October 11, 2010 8:51 PM EDT Please show me where anyone associated with the Tea Party said that a woman cannot get life saving procedures. We will be waiting. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Another denier of the campaign rhetoric of the likes of SHARRON ANGLE and JOE MILLER and others that claim NO ABORTIONS UNDER ANY CONDITION including the life of the mother INCLUDING RAPE / INCEST VICTIMS as the case may be.

The Federal governmen does not have the authority under the Constitution to spend one dime on any medical procedure, no matter how needed.
by variablespanner October 11, 2010 9:10 PM EDT
Wrong again mortar - who cares who pays NO WOMAN REGARDLESS OF WHO PAYS will have her life saved by a doctor if the only solution is an Abortion if the Tea Party Rrepublicans like Sharron Angle and Joe Miller get their way. -- the Tea Party Republicans will legally impose their will between a patient and a doctor requiring the doctor to stand by and allow a pregnant woman possibly a rape/incest victim die if the only life-saving procedure available is an abortion.
by Mortarman329 October 11, 2010 9:22 PM EDT
No variable. The Federal government doesnt have authorization from the States to send one dime on healthcare for anyone, no matter how needed. It is called the law.
by variablespanner October 12, 2010 6:31 AM EDT
mortar - a federal district judge in Michigan says you a liar -- and guess what -- the constitution clearly states the FEDERAL JUDGE WINS all arguments with non judge on decisions involving constitutionality
by cleantheDCcesspool October 11, 2010 8:54 PM EDT
Dems have resorted to outright lies and unfounded accusations in this election, due to their constant blunders since becoming a majority in congress, and especially since pinocchi-o-bamao took office. Or, going back a few more years, refusing to clean up Fannie and Freddie despite Repub calls to do so. Dems are more useless than unions.

by Mortarman329 October 11, 2010 8:40 PM EDT Sorry. The problem with you is that you are so blinded by ideology that you cant even accurately describe your enemies. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wrong again Mortar --- It is a fact TEA PARTY Republicans are planning to require the government (IN A DELIBERATELY WORDED DEATH PANEL SCENARIO) to DENY SOME CURRENTLY LEGAL LIFE SAVING MEDICAL procedures to a rape victim for 9-10 months after a rape -- even if it means the victim dies. Will the government then try the rapist for murder if their victim cannot survive the pregnancy? It will be of little solace to family members and friends of the victim that not only did they need to bear the suffering associated with the attack but also a possible GOVERNMENT MANDATED DEATH SENTENCE FOR THE VICTIM. This the Tea party calls Justice or Victims' Rights

And the biggest islam lover of all: "I know, too, that Islam has always been a part of America?s story. The first nation to recognize my country was Morocco. In signing the Treaty of Tripoli in 1796, our second President John Adams wrote, "The United States has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion or tranquility of Muslims." And since our founding, American Muslims have enriched the United States." Obama, from his speech in Cairo. So, let the Islamification of America begin; let's force women to wear veils and long robes, deny them rights to education and driving, stone them for being in public with a non-related male, whip them for not walking behind their husband. Oh, yes, dems are on the high moral ground in this latest Pelosi lie.

Obama has brought the [poverty level to the highest in 14 years and is on track to reach the 1960;s level before we started the war on poverty. Good job Obama. Obama and the Demos have lost since e2007 7.9 Million jobs. Good Job Demos. The Demos have taken a 2006 5.3 trillion deficit and raised it to now 15.6 trillion in just 4 short years . Good job Demos. And they have managed to keep the unemployment rate to near 10 % for 19 Months straight . Great job Demos. Now my only question with all of this great work done by the DEMOS how is any of that GOOD for Women? Brain Dead wicked witch of the west.
